A complete direct-push environmental investigation record combining continuous core runs, recovery, discrete samples, PID/VOC screening, evidence of impacts, laboratory results, criteria exceedances, temporary-screen construction, groundwater, decontamination, and abandonment details.
DP-01 Phase II Direct-Push Investigation documents a 30 ft sounding at a former service station in Kitchener, Ontario. Six 5 ft direct-push runs progress through pavement, granular base, fill, impacted silty sand, native silty clay, and dense sandy silt till.
The validation report records 100% completeness, Good quality, and an 83% confidence score. Two warnings identify the 185 ppm PID/VOC result at 12.5 ft for review; no errors were reported.
The first sheet identifies the strongest evidence of petroleum impacts between 8 and 12 ft, where odour, black staining, the peak PID/VOC response, benzene, and PHC F2 results converge. The criteria column immediately distinguishes compliant samples from laboratory exceedances.
The second sheet completes the profile through dense sandy silt till to 30 ft. The log also records a temporary screen from 10 to 15 ft, stabilized groundwater at 12.8 ft, investigation-derived waste handling, decontamination, removal of the screen, and sealing with bentonite grout.
Download the files individually. The XML template and completed log can be imported into WinLoG Version 6 and customized for Phase II ESAs, brownfield investigations, service-station assessments, spill investigations, and remedial programs.
Documents direct-push stratigraphy, continuous cores, field screening, samples, temporary groundwater work, and laboratory follow-up in one coordinated log.
Supports source-area delineation, Phase II ESA reporting, petroleum-impact assessment, remedial planning, waste handling, and borehole abandonment records.
Provides aligned review of recovery, sample intervals, PID/VOC values, odour and staining, analytical results, criteria exceedances, groundwater, and completeness.
WinLoG templates can be adapted for company standards and project-specific investigation programs. Headers, core-run and recovery fields, sample columns, screening results, lithology, analytical results, criteria, construction, groundwater, completion notes, and validation rules can all be customized.
