This example shows how WinLoG can combine detailed rock descriptions with core-run measurements and automated QA/QC. BH-03 CORE-QAQC presents a 30 m rock-core borehole with RQD, Solid Core Recovery (SCR), Total Core Recovery (TCR), weathering, rock hardness, fracture spacing, compressive strength, groundwater observations, and validation findings in a single two-page log.
The example intentionally contains selected data-quality conditions so users can see how WinLoG identifies physically inconsistent core-recovery relationships, interval geometry problems, and unusual geological conditions while preserving the underlying log for engineering and geological review.
BH-03 is intentionally not a perfect borehole. The validation report identifies 2 errors and 2 warnings. The errors include overlapping lithology intervals and an SCR value that exceeds TCR. The warnings identify an RQD value greater than SCR and bedrock encountered at an unusually shallow depth.
The example therefore demonstrates both objective data-integrity failures that require correction and unusual geological conditions that require review. The completed log has 100% completeness, a 63% confidence score, and a validation status of Failed until the outstanding errors are addressed.
The RQD, SCR, and TCR columns make related core-quality measurements visible side by side. This layout helps reviewers quickly compare values within each run and identify relationships that are physically impossible or worthy of further review.
Weathering, hardness, fracture spacing, and compressive strength are plotted alongside recovery data so the reviewer can evaluate QA/QC findings in geological context rather than considering each measurement in isolation.
