StrataExplorer Released
July 2009 -
StrataExplorer is a new application suite for
subsurface mapping and resource or contaminant evaluation. The program can
be used to evaluate ore, oil sands, oil and gas deposits; soil and rock
properties; and contaminants.
The application is
ideal for the environmental, geotechnical,
mining, oil sands, and petroleum industries.
The program
is composed of a base application and several
extension modules. The base application of
StrataExplorer is used as a platform that all of
the other modules build upon. he most most
visual component of the base application is the
geographic information system (GIS). It is used
as the primary display and selection interface.
The GIS incorporates ESRI's ArcEngine technology
and stores all of the basemap, project, well,
boring, cross-section, and other spatial data
for the application.
Projects are the primary building block of
StrataExplorer and are used to encapsulate all
the data in the application. One of the primary
data sources in the application comes from wells
and borings, the well and boring module is a
major upgrade of our very popular WinLoG
program. After the data has been entered in can
then be used to create cross-sections and
contour maps. The cross-section module
represents a major upgrade of our popular
WinFence program.
In addition to subsurface data, the application
can also be used to create and display 3
dimensional buildings, structures, and
excavations. All of the wells and borings,
cross-sections, contour maps, layers, GIS data,
buildings, structures, and excavations entered
in a project can then be displayed in 3D.

American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM) Standard Practice for
Environmental Site Assessments: Phase I Environmental Site Assessment
Process (ASTM Designation: E1527-05) has been added to Pocket ESA. The
program now has a questionnaire and report template for this new standard.
Pocket
ESA has been designed to minimize the amount of time required to generate
standard Environmental Site Assessment reports and to maximize the
flexibility of the final report. The data can be collected either on a
Pocket, Tabloid, Laptop, or Desktop PC. A wide variety of reports can be
created; including Phase I ESAs, Phase II ESAs, Environmental Compliance,
and Transaction Screening. The reports can be tailored to any standard such
as CSA and ASTM.

Rapid Geotechnical Reporting Released
April 2006
- GAEA is pleased to announce the release of
its newest product, Rapid Geotechnical Reporting. This program represents a
new method for creating all types of geotechnical engineering reports. Rapid
Geotechnical Reporting has been designed to minimize the amount of time
required to generate geotechnical engineering reports and to maximize the
flexibility of the final report. A variety of reports can be created, the
program currently comes with templates for conventional shallow and deep
foundations. More templates are always being added and we welcome your
suggestions.
The Rapid Geotechnical Reporting program is used to collect answers to
pre-designed questions in a template. These answers are then merged and a
standard report is generated in Microsoft Word. The merging process allows
the user to insert different responses and paragraphs into the report
depending upon how a question is answered.
