How to download macros, symbols and templates from WinLoG?
|
First of all you have to make certain that you have
set up you pocket PC Preferences properly in the desktop version of WinLoG.
Click ‘File’ then click ‘Preferences’. Then choose
your default Pocket Data upload download directory.
"C:\Documents
and Settings\pspurvey\My Documents\Pocket_PC MyDocuments\WinLoG"
(It would be your user name instead of ‘pspurvey’ in the directory listing.)

Connect your Pocket PC to your computer.
Make
certain that the Files directory is included as one of your active synch
directories.
For example, in the above active synch the files directory is not included.
To include it from active synch, click ‘Tools’ and then ‘Options’
Click on the ‘Files’ check box and then OK to include the ‘Files’ directory as
an ActiveSync directory. You are now ready to upload or download data to your
Pocket PC from WinLoG and Pocket WinLoG. Follow the instructions in the Pocket
WinLoG manual to upload or download your templates and logs.
How do I set up Pocket WinLoG with a client?
First of all, upon connecting the Pocket Pc to your desktop computer, changes
the settings for MS Active Synch.
1) First of all make certain that the ‘Files’ directory is being synchronized
Click ‘Options’
and make certain the ‘Files’
directory is checked.
Then
click ‘OK’. You should then see ‘Files’ listed
under the details screen in ActiveSync.

Once this is done determine the default windows synchronization directory
Click the Options Button.
Click the Settings button from the Options Form.
You
will note in this example the files are synchronized to the
C:\Documents and Settings\pspurvey\My Documents\Pocket_PC
directory.
To enable the desktop version of WinLoG to retrieve and send data to the
Pocket PC, this directory path has to be entered as the default pocket data
directory.
Note:
The WinLoG sub directory has to be added to the end of the directory path.

+ ‘\WinLoG’

3) Add Pocket PC Path to WinLoG
Open
WinLoG (Desktop version). Go to
Preferences, and then to the
Directories tab.
Add the directory path as shown here and Click File,
To synchronize the desktop to the Pocket PC click the Sync Button from MS
Active Sync and click ‘Sync’. This should upload all the New and Changed Pocket
WinLoG Files to a directory in the PC.
