BearFoot calculates the bearing capacity in four ways and
the settlement in two ways of shallow foundations.
Prepared in accordance with Eurocode, Terzaghi, Meyerhof,
Hansen, Vesic, Shmertmen, FHWA, Navfac, Bowles, Das, Peck, Thomlinson. The
program is well
documented, including a user's and a technical manuals.

New Features
The latest version, 3.0, adds the following features:
1. Help screens loaded with equations to estimate the
engineering design parameters.
2. Ability to compute the allowable bearing capacity
based on SPT or CPT data
3. Calculate the effective soil parameters based on
either the shear wedge depth or zone of influence
4. Additional utility to calculate the settlement vs.
applied bearing pressure for a specific footing size and based on the
two settlement method.
Features
- Footing subjected to concentric or eccentric loads,
including moments in either direction.
- Inclined footings, and footings subjected to inclined
loads in either direction.
- Footings on a sloped ground.
- Multiple layers of soil with or without water table.
- Provides an estimate of the Modulus of Subgrade
Reaction (Ks).
- Calculates Bearing capacity according to four
different methods.
- Estimates the short term settlement in accordance to
two different methods.
- Estimates the rotation of the base based on either a
Rigid or a Flexible Plate model.
- Calculates the induced stresses under the footing.
- The simple input / output screen allows for a concise
yet comprehensive report with a simple click of the mouse.
- Online help plus detailed User’s and Technical
manuals.
